Tauseef Ahmed received his Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from PES University, Bangalore, India, in 2013. He subsequently gained industry experience at various companies, including Siemens, Intel, and imec. In 2025, he completed his Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from Maastricht University. During his internship at imec, he designed and implemented a compiler using the IREE framework to lower AI workloads onto a neuromorphic accelerator, bridging the gap between high-level AI models and non-von-Neumann architectures. His Master's thesis focused on optimizing AI workloads to fully exploit the computational advantages of neuromorphic hardware, with an emphasis on efficiency and performance.
In January 2026, he joins the chair as a research assistant, where he works on the project in the context of the REACT Doctoral Network. This project looks at self-awaRe nEuromorphic ArChiTectures, from the point of view of security, reliability and energy-efficiency.
